I go "ice fishing" about ten times in an average year. Our ice shack is not nearly as elaborate as the one shown, but I know guys who have satellite dishes and game systems in theirs.
You have to have something to do when everything is frozen outside.
I don't ice fish because i'm not a good enough caster to make my fly land in the little hole.
Ice fishing is a huge deal here in Wisconsin. People get pretty elaborate with their shanties.
And even more fun than watching all the shanties go up every year is waiting to see which moron will plunge either his shanty or his vehicle into the lake trying to be the last one still out there in spring.
