Bugatti Veyron At 253 Mph

The Bugatti Veyron is currently the fastest, most powerful, and most expensive street-legal production car in the world. The car is built by Volkswagen subsidiary Bugatti Automobiles in its Molsheim factory and is sold under the legendary Italo-French Bugatti marque. It is named after French racing driver Pierre Veyron, who won the 24 hours of Le Mans in 1939 while racing for the original Bugatti firm.

Top Gear tested Bugatti's claims that the Veyron can go 253 mph (407 kmh). Even without the show's dramatic touches, that's pretty impressive. Thinking of buying one? The car will set you back about a 1.5 million American dollars.
