Humans do two things unique among mammals, they walk upright, and THEY THROW THINGS ACCURATELY. Our shoulders have evolved away from knuckle walking to throwing, and anyone who suggests that the two abilities are not linked is not thinking the subject through.
As soon as hominids started throwing rocks at scavengers to drive them off a carcass, they started the feedback loop that led to bipedal locomotion, and also increased brain size due to the complex calculations required to throw a rock accurately.
