When Sipping Tea Was A Socially Ruinous Act

Could anything be as innocuous as a nice spot of tea? Today, the word 'tea' conjures up images of sipping from dainty cups with grandma, children's cup-and-saucer sets and, of course, the Queen. But amazingly, there was a time when tea was seen as a threat to traditional Christian values - and the social hierarchy of the Western world.
