The Perfection Of The Paper Clip

A paper clip is an instrument used to hold sheets of paper together, usually made of steel wire bent to a looped shape. The paper clip was invented in 1899 and it hasn't been improved upon since.

Winston Churchill hated staples and paperclips. There are vintage stapleless staplers, known as bump paper fasteners (patented by George P. Bump 1913) that came into use during WWII metal rationing/scrap metal drives. Japan's Kokuyo Stationery has two popular paper fasteners known as the Harinacs and the new Harinacs Press.
