eBoy is a graphic design firm - based in Berlin, Germany - whose three co-founders and sole members - Steffen Sauerteig, Kai Vermehr, and Svend Smital - are widely regarded as the 'godfathers' of pixel art. Pixel art is a form of digital art, created through the use of raster graphics software, where images are edited on the pixel level.
The trio came together in Berlin during the mid-'90s, and have spent the last two decades honing their craft in meticulous detail, building elaborate cityscapes, portraits, and designer toys, one pixel at a time.
