I am unsure what the video reflects. Is the video of the unloading of one of the large ocean-going container behemoths, or is it merely a barge that works within a specific harbor that transports previously unloaded containers to various bays?

As justification for the latter, I can, potentially, see some sort of economic necessity existing to get the large container ships fully unloaded and on their way as quickly a possible, with the subsequent use of barges to get smaller portions of their contents to smaller, destination specific bays for to get loaded onto specific transports. Anyone?

I've been there! And I was taken to lunch with Lep Profit executives after touring their shore-side warehouse...

A container ship may carry containers for many different consignees (freight forwarding companies) and thus the necessity of off-loading into a lightener boat to deliver to each freight forwarder for inland shipping to the customer who ordered the goods inside the container.

Did I mention that we had lunch in a windmill that had been converted into a posh restaurant?
