Corvettes From North Carolina Collector Bill Mullis

The first Corvette Bill Mullis bought many years ago, was black. He liked the way it looked and soon realized that in some cases, black Corvettes were few and far between. So, he accepted a personal challenge: Acquire as many black Corvettes covering the formative years of the brand, as possible.

I don't know whether Bill Mullis is still alive.

I do know that 23 black Corvettes from his collection were sold in June 2011 at Mecum’s Bloomington Gold Auction. The collection was broken up and the cars sold individually at no reserve. As a group, their combined sales totaled $1.6 million.
