No farm can function without at least one tractor. They are the most functional of objects, bright and shiny for a very short time when they're new and then old and rusty after a few seasons in harsh weather. A tractor will be used for as long as possible, until the farmer can't patch it together any longer, and then it gets put out to pasture.
But there, set against a wheat field, they become items of beauty, contrasting with the landscape and adding a touch of permanence to an ever changing land.
