Spectacular Road Trains In The Australian Outback

Having worked in the transportation business for almost 34 years, I absolutely like the sight of road trains. Here is some spectacular footage of road trains in the Australian outback, all shot in the area of Marble Bar, Warrawagine and Nullagine, Western Australia, by Geoff Mackley.

They're only spectacular if you are on the opposite side of the road! Imagine being in a small car stuck behind one for a hundred kilometres or more. Overtaking is too risky because you would need an awful lot of road, but you can't see the road and you can't see oncoming traffic.
However the locals just seem to overtake them without any visibility, apparently just assuming that there won't be oncoming vehicles.
