Scenes from a video shot from a streetcar traveling down Market Street in San Francisco in 1905. Remarkable footage of the turn of the century lifestyles.
Where are all the women? I see everyone wearing hats. When did that go out of style? I see quite a few people running around is a hurry. And the driving, it's a wonder there wasn't any collisions in this film.
The people who are driving their cars and playing "chicken" with the streetcar? I think they must all live in Lake Charles, Louisiana because everyone down here drives just like them! I am not kidding. Having lived in a number of states I can affirm that Louisiana drivers are the worst.

Any time-travelers spotted yet?

Technically, that's a cablecar, isn't it? That slice down the middle of the track and the fact that it's on Market kinda make it evident.
A video in 1905?? Now that is advanced. Everyone else was using cine film ( aka movies).
Fascinating film to watch, especially the chaotic driving!
