The problem with some wheelchair ramps is that they're incredibly difficult and/or somehow infuriating to use for the average wheelchair user - if not impossible - and could actually even cause more problems than they solve.
It's good to see ramps appearing around the world in an effort to make certain areas accessible to wheelchair users, but a little common sense and an ounce of forward-thinking would help to make their experience a lot more agreeable.

OMG! I've been in a wheelchair myself for a short period of time and "wheeled in" a lot of problems, but this is ridiculous! They should fire the ones coming up with the idea. Idiots.....
We saw a number of ramps just as bad as this in Moscow and wondered how in the world the expected anyone to actually navigate those deathtraps.
I suspect they were intended to appease some city official by minimally adhering to some ordinance rather than for utility sake.
I am suprised that that was able to pass inspection. There are strict guidlines that we must follow in order to be up to code.
