Africanized honey bees, known colloquially as 'killer bees,' are hybrids of the African honey bee with various European honey bees. These bees are far more aggressive than the European subspecies. While Africanized honey bees are very defensive and easily provoked, they are generally not a threat to humans provided they are not riled.
However, if you are attacked by Africanized honey bees, you can take some steps to get away from them and
protect yourself and others.

I would hate to have a run in with a killer bee. Plus I think they attack in swarms, which is part of the reason why they can cause so much damage to a person especially if they are allergic. I agree the best thing to do if you see a killer bee is get far away with out disturbing them.
