Golf Ball Hitting Steel Plate In Super Slow Motion

A golf ball hitting a steel plate in super slow motion. At least that's what you're supposed to be seeing. But a lot of people have said that a golf ball cannot deform to this degree and that it's another type of ball resembling a golf ball, or maybe it's computer graphics. What do you think?

It's real, they shot a golf ball at 140mph at a steel plate and filmed it at 70,000 fps.

Sorry, but this is not real.

Professional golfers hit the ball with club speeds close to 140 mph, and the ball does NOT do this.

Do you have a golf ball handy? cut it in half and see what is inside, then decide for yourself if the material would do this.

Here is a link to a research paper about the deformation of golf balls at something like 134mph.

If you scroll to the third page of the PDF you'll see a set of photos detailing the impact which is not even close to what we see in the video.

That is not to say that this video is a fake, per se. There are different types of golf balls, this could a very cheap, spongy golf ball that would never see use on any course in the world.
