Chan Chan: The Largest Adobe City In The Pre-Columbian Americas

Chan Chan was the capital city of the Chimu Tribe, predating the Incan Empire in Peru, and it was discovered by the conquistador Francisco Pizarro.

The city of Chan Chan may have been home to close to 100,000 inhabitants; however archaeologists are in question about this number. The people were both highly intelligent and the South American city was well organized.
