Image Metrics is redefining what is possible in facial animation. Image Metrics' technology-leveraged solutions rapidly re-create lifelike facial performances without markers or makeup.
This video, featuring Emily, will set a new precedent for photo-realistic characters in video games and films. What you are about to see is not real. Only at the 1:30 mark you will see the real actress.
Before that, Emily is a computer animation.

As good as the computer graphic "facial" provided the actress, I still felt there was something...odd about her face, as if the proportions weren't quite right. Still, the nuances weren't bad. I can see this tool being effective for movie and television directors who want the spontaneity of a real actors performance without having to add prosthetics or makeup.
ZOMG!
