Synchronized Swimming
Synchronized swimming is a hybrid of swimming, gymnastics, and ballet. It is an Olympic sport open to women since 1984. I'm not much of a fan of synchronized swimming but I do respect the competitive strength, endurance, flexibility, grace and artistry that is needed to perform this sport. I even admire the exceptional breath control of the competitors.
But you have to agree with me that the appearance of this sport needs improvement. It really looks ridiculous.
